Why do some people refer to creationism as a conspiracy theory?

Also the conspiracy is the creationists try to lie about Intelligent Design, which is creationism that has been repackaged so that they can get creationism taught in schools in violation of the US Constitution. These so-called christians lie and say ID has nothing to do with creationism, they are hypocrites.
