Trying to decide Chicago IL or Dallas TX?

I live in Chicago but I also happen to like Dallas. I would see if you could get a job in either of these cities and what the pay would be like before I would up and leave with nothing to back yourself up. The cost of living is much less in Texas and the taxes are much less there. If you have a gig that will provide a steady income I would suggest that you let that be your determining factor.
