Real dilemma with electronics and parents?

i got a phone that i had really wanted and it has all the same features except i would never give up a laptop for it. the laptop is so much better and you have to pay for internet on most plans plus connection isnt that good, and you dont always get it, also you can write essays ect on teh laptop and use it a lot more in the future. where as with a phone you have it for those 2 yrs and unless u still want to keep it (if you havent already broke it somehow) you will change.
