Shouldn't I just stick with a food if my cat likes it?

i don't know that i would necessarily change his diet all of a sudden. if he's happy and healthy i don't see why you would need to anyway. as for the tarter, just have your cat's teeth cleaned when he goes for his annuals. it happens in older cats. i have one that's about 13 and she has the same problem.
