Why isnt he talking to me? Guy problems...advice please!?

Right well basically this isn't the first time i'm texting this guy, the first time we text each other was like 6 months ago and then we stopped talking and haven't talked since until randomly he liked my new profile pic on Facebook. Later that night he popped up on Facebook chat and said hi e.t.c but said that he had to go soon and he gave me his number and told me to text him. Obviously i wasn't gonna text him first so i left it and he came back online and said he was going to be online for a little more time... when he eventually went offline like 10 minutes later he told me to text him again so i gave him my number and he was like i cant im using my phone you will have to text me...anyways i text him and we texted for ages that night online and by phone. When i woke up the next morning he text me straight away but then whenever i text him he always seem to bored and he always asks me to entertain him through text...what does this mean? i always ignore him and go tell him to watch tv or something haha. when we text that day he also said flirty things like you should have come over and snuggled up with me tonight as my parents are out e.tc and that he was looking for a girlfriend which gave me the idea that he wanted to be more than friends?.... i gave him the last text that day and he didnt reply so i ignored it thinking he would text me back and he didnt. That night he came online and waited for 3 hours and then eventually talked to me on chat on Facebook, he didn't text me or anything the next day and when I've been on Facebook hes ignored me and hasn't even bothered talking to me at all. He asked me out to go out for a walk on Friday when he text me last but since we haven't been talking at all these past few days, i cant imagine how awkward it will be on the day..someone help :/ does he just want to be friends or what? I'm confused!! guys confuse me!
