Relationship help... boys and girls!?

So I've liked this guy, lets call him Tim, for a reall long time, and we talked a little in cl and stuff but little stuff you know? And on the last day before spring break in history cl he asked for my words wih friends name (my age group is obsesed) and i went to his soccer game because, well i always do, and after the game he came by and i made it awkward... or course. abut he was still cute and whatever he said he'd play me. well he did that night and he asked for my number so i gave it to him (of course). haha. we talked all week.. litterally. and one night he asked who i liked and he guessed for a while an eventually guesed himself. i told him yes and he said e liked me too. and well yeah i was flipping out haha. but now that we know i kind of noticed he sucks at texting. like he texts me in he morning and i kind of flirt but he never flirts back lie one time i was like "whats up? and he said "playig golf, but i suck haha" and i said "or golf sucks" and he said "i like it" and i said "well who's side am i supposed to be on, your's or golfs haha" and he was like "ya i dont care." ... ouch. then i was like "uhmm okay. golf it is. (just joking aound right) and he was like "okay". sooo yeah either he doesnt like me or how i talk or he just sucks at texting. how do i make it less boring without making him uncomfortable? grr... i just want to flirt he's just not so good at flirting back.
