How can I steadily lose weight over a month or two?

Okay, so I'm not looking for miracle pills or some other crap like that. I understand to lose weight it requires eating right and exercise. And I guess I'm up for that, but like a lot of other people I have issues like... committing to my plan I guess? So if anybody can help a little. And I'm not like fat or anything, I'm around 115 lbs I guess, but I'm shorter, so I think I could lose a couple pounds. And I'm trying to be realistic here, so I know nothing will happen overnight. Thanks!
